Only 1 piece of cabin baggage is currently allowed on all Jet Airways flights. The sum of the length, width and height of the hand baggage should not exceed 115 cms. Due to current security regulations, liquids, gels, pastes or items of similar consistency are NOT allowed in the cabin baggage. However medicines and inhalers are allowed in the cabin baggage, only if they are accompanied by a doctor's prescription. Baby/Infant food is allowed. Also note that sharp items like, scissors and pocket knives and weapons of any kind are not allowed in the cabin baggage. A laptop is allowed in lieu of hand luggage but one piece of hand luggage plus a laptop is NOT allowed as cabin baggage.

Excess, Oversized or Overweight Baggage

If you have more than the permitted allowance, or if your bags exceed the permitted weight or dimensions, you will be charged extra for either or both excess weight and excess size.

Jet Airways Domestic Excess Baggage Charges: Jet Airways charges INR 150/kg as excess baggage charges on all domestic routes within India.

Jet Airways International Excess Baggage Charges: If your baggage piece weighs more than 23 kgs, Jet Airways charges USD 50 ($50) per piece as excess baggage charges. Remember that even in case of excess baggage, each bag should not be more than 32 kgs.

If you have an extra piece of baggage over the allowed limit, Jet Airways charges USD 150 ($150) per extra piece, as excess baggage charges on international routes.
