Baggage Information

Cabin Baggage/Carry-on Baggage/Hand Baggage Allowance

Only 1 piece of cabin baggage is currently allowed on all GoAir flights. The sum of the length, width and height of the hand baggage should not exceed 55cm + 35cm + 25cm (Total= 115 cms). Also GoAir requires that the weight of the cabin baggage should not exceed 10 kgs. GoAir recommends that you carry all valuable items like jewelry, cameras, cash, etc. only with you in the cabin baggage piece. Due to current security regulations, liquids, gels, pastes or items of similar consistency are NOT allowed in the cabin baggage. However medicines and inhalers are allowed in the cabin baggage, only if they are accompanied by a doctor’s prescription. Baby/Infant food is allowed. Also note that sharp items like, scissors and pocket knives and weapons of any kind are not allowed in the cabin baggage.

Note: Due to airport security regulations, no cabin baggage is allowed on any GoAir flights originating from Jammu and Srinagar airports.

However 1 Laptop OR 1 Digital Camera is allowed as carry on baggage from these airports.

Checked-in Baggage Allowance

GoAir permits the following free checked-in baggage allowance on all flights:

GoSmart and GoFlexi Class

  • Adults: 25 Kgs
  • Children: 25 Kgs
  • Infants: 0 kgs

GoBusiness Class

  • Adults: 35 Kgs
  • Children: 35 Kgs
  • Infants: 0 kgs

Connecting International Passengers

If you are connecting from/to an international destination on any airline, and traveling on GoAir, GoAir will allow you to check-in a total of 35 kgs baggage in GoSmart and GoFlexi classes and a total of 45 kgs in the GoBusiness class. The GoAir flight should be within 24 hours of your arriving or departing from an Indian port of entry or exit.

Excess, Oversized or Overweight Baggage

If you have more than the permitted allowance, or if your bags exceed the permitted weight or dimensions, you will be charged extra for either or both excess weight and excess size. GoAir currently chargesRs. 70 per kg for excess baggage. Please note that GoAir does not accept any check-in baggage piece exceeding 32 kgs.
